I was fortunate enough to recently attend the Architectural Digest Home Design Show. I love Architectural Digest and perusing through the pages of amazing interior design and the beautiful homes that are featured monthly. The show was an incredible reflection of the magazine with 300 furnishing companies with stunning products creatively placed in gorgeous vignettes at Pier 94 on the west side of Manhattan.
Here are a few of my favorite products, and if you live near New York or can arrange travel to the Big Apple to attend the show next year, I would highly recommend it!
If you’re looking for high quality outdoor furniture and accessories including fountains and statuary pieces, LandscaperOutlet.com has just about everything you could possible want. My favorites piece at the show was their Bishan collection. Featured above is a six piece conversation area ensemble in which the glass coffee table can convert to an ottoman for additional seating with a cushion. This sturdy furniture is constructed of synthetic wicker and an aluminum frame with Sunbrella upholstered cushions with self-draining mesh bottoms for quick drying.
Karkula’s 21 Series chandelier was a show stopper in the main entry hall of the show with each shade formed from matte porcelain delicately folded and wrapped around a borosilicate glass trumpet formed diffuser. This would be simply stunning in any formal dining room. You can download the free chandelier catalog.
For the perfect playroom inside or a kid’s haven outside, CedarWorks wooden play sets and swing sets can be custom made! I love the Rhapsody play bed featured at the show that can provide sleep and play in small bedrooms or can be expanded for larger rooms.
Iron is definitely making a comeback when it comes to interior design. One particular company stood out from the crowd with its elegant display of hand-forged iron accents like this stair railing featuring gold leafs. Compass Ironworks makes one-of-a-kind hand-crafted wrought iron fences, railings, gates and accents to reflect your unique flair for style.
There were a lot of innovative appliances at the show, but one of my favorite pieces was Jenn-Air's® 48" Pro-Style®Dual-Fuel range with griddle and MultiMode® Convection. This gorgeous piece would take center stage in any kitchen and I love the energy efficiency of the smaller oven when you don’t need a large oven or if you don’t want to cross contaminate smells and flavors.
