House plans with bonus rooms built in to the design, are an economical way to take advantage of space when choosing a home plan. Building your own home, is the best investment you can make, however if cost is an issue, your best bet is to have an area of the house, that can be completed at a later date. Bonus rooms a great way to go. They are very rarely included in the total square footage of the house plan, but are normally framed out by the builder, and can be finished when you are ready to go to the next step.
