Last week we attended the International Builder Show in Las Vegas and we were delighted to see lots of new products to help you build your new home. Everything from flooring to efficient accent lighting to innovative roofing was amongst the exhibitors list. Here are a few of our favorite products from IBS 2014.
One of our favorite products at IBS 2014 is Lumber Liquidators® Dura Dance Home™ system. It is perfect for an exercise room or home dance studio. This innovative under-flooring dampens movement and absorbs energy exceptionally, minimizing the risk of bodily injury that comes from a concrete floor.
Heat & Glo™ bought their REVO series gas fireplace to IBS 2014. This fireplace has been on our radar all year and we continue to love it because of its slender 7-inch deep profile. The small footprint means that you can recess the fireplace into the wall or you can hang it on the wall, making it easy to add a little ambiance to any space. Using its Patented Razor™ burner and a reflective black glass interior you get an amazing contemporary look with minimal fuss.
SnapRays was another cool new product from IBS 2014. The SnapRays guidelights provide efficient task lighting with revolutionary power extractors that allow the outlet to draw power without having to connect wires or occupy an outlet receptacle. The LED lights are also bright enough to be safety lights.
TruSlate® is our favorite roofing product of IBS 2014 because of how it makes slate roofs accessible to almost any homeowner. Instead of covering up parts of the slate, half of it is replaced with high-tech waterproofing material. In short, you get a real slate roof without the bulk and the expense. We also love GAF’s Roofing Wizard to help you find the perfect roof for your home.
The Therma-Tru® Classic-Craft® Canvas Collection™ has always been one of our favorite products, but at IBS 2014, we were introduced to even more options. The Canvas Collection™ continues to offer durable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance features, but they have widened the scope of their collection with 6’ 8” and 8’ door options. With new 12” and 14” wide doorlites, and eight exclusive decorative glass designs, four privacy glass options, and standard clear Low-E glass available the Canvas Collection™ provides endless combinations for your entry door.
